Capture and Hold Capture the Flag Other Foggy Bots Client Side Custom Textures

"Don't let your eyes fool you, planet Slovogin is a deadly grey wasteland. The acidic toxins tend to make people see unusual colors, and the occasional hallucination." Thise map features: Three capturable objectives that have very usefull stratigic value. Intelligent Bots (thus the large nav file). Custom 'tripy' Textures and Terrain. Job specific generators (One for sheilds, one for turrets, one for the vehicle pad, and one for the base & sensors). This map is player side, so if you want to play, you need to download it.

It is quite apparent that someone out there has a vendetta against me. I do not recall every actually doing something rude or nasty to promote this anger towards me in the Tribes community. However, I am well aware that taunting with false names through endless miles of network only makes one seem very cowardly. You can critic my work, and slander my name as often as you wish, but I will never stoop as low in any reply. If I really have done something to offend you, then feel free to email me, and tell me what I did, so that I may correct my manerism. Please do not force shuch rude ideals onto the more respectible members of the tribal community, escpecially in the use of misrepresentation and impersonation.

I feel your pain, but maybe you should try making maps using the regular colors (your other map is mauve colored), so that we don't get headaches when we play them.

Making painful looking maps isn't helping the Tribes "community" either. You obviously have a bit of hostility in you if you constantly make distastful maps.

Either that, or you want everyone to think you're too hip to be appreciated in your own time. Either way, it's not great for the community.

Prove me wrong, and make an attractive, playable map.

Take care.

Look, his maps are fun to play. Nobody forces you to dl them. Just becuase you got your ass kicked in his jello water map doesn't mean you have to hate him.

Did you guys even play this map?? There are like 4 colors in total, and they are hardly extreme (or physcodelic). The soft pastels don't bother my eyes no more then a cartoon, and the only gripe I have with them is it is kinda hard to read the way points. The underwater skulls are just plain cool. Aside from the colors, this map is one of the best I have ever seen. It actuall makes capturable objectives usefull. I like it, and I hope others do to, becuase there are some great bombing targets and other possiblities that make this a great multiplay map.

Hahaha. Don't be so critical, people. I had a little too much fun playing this map last night. We couldn't fall asleep while coming down off of a psilocybin trip, so my girlfriend and I decided to have a crack at a game of Tribes.

Keep up the creative work, Doobie.

THIS MAP ROCKS!!!!!!! I had too much fun with this one! The vehicle stations are a little far from the actual bases but I don't mind. The colors and skulls in the water can hurt your eyes and spook you a little at first but you get used to it. A good pilot will have some real good fun! I have noticed a bug though where if someone captures the assets of the "expansion bunker" then another person gets in and takes it for their team, the turret will still fire on you! thats all it needs fixed. Oh yeah the bases are SO COOL! A+!

There is no Tribes comiunity. It's in your head. Some like colours, some don't, but you can see them on the screen shots, so if you don't like them you don't have to download the map.

I give you the high grade on account of doing something original. Or at least asthetically descent. Don't listen to other people who can't cope with change. Keep up the blotter work. T.

Good map, I like the fact that each Objective will give the team a different advantage over the others. The only things that really makes this map special is the colorful terrain, thats not enough to make this map worthy of an A.

I found this map to be interesting. And that’s a good thing. One thing that got me was the fact there is an enemy sensor right next to the vehicle platforms. Also I think the defenses for all of the varying bases is not enough. But I always think that the defenses are never enough.

Haven't played it yet, but it looks awesome! The only reason I haven't played it is because I don't have T2 yet, only the demo, and I will be downloading AcidTrip and a couple others from T2Maps as soon as I get it. The backstory is cool, but man, where do you get your inspiration!?

A few words to Terrapin:

Doobie HAS made an attractive, playable map. Several in fact. Bloodlust is one of them.

Nice map, but it needs to be play tested and evolved quite a bit. Here are some points to note:

Many of the capturable scanners are in range of the capturable turrets. This means that a team holding the tactical tower can neutralize the benefit of the strategic tower. This is especially important in CTF where the strategic tower becomes low priority - not enough value to divert offense or defense to.

The geography near storm's vehicle station (not sure about Inferno's) makes land vehicles extremely difficult to get out of the area. Also, heavier ground vehicles like the tank and MPB are nearly useless due to the distance between the station and the battlefield in addition to the poor nearby geography.

The bots aren't worth the large nav file. They still get stuck around the base.

Respawn bugs exist. It took me a little while after dying on an attack run to relize that I had respawned inside the enemy base instead of my own base under siege.

i like what you have done with the terrain...BTW i LOVE gelatinus prime..anyway, idea: if you are familiar with Bryce then you may know that there are bump-hieght textures similar to the one that you have in this map in that program...perhaps you could take the one that is black with blue stripes for the hieght and make a "Tron"-ish looking map...that would be cool...good job doobie :D
