Siege Lush Raining Client Side Custom Textures Custom Shapes

Heres a unique map that relies on players being persistent and cunning to achieve their goals.

Based on a WW2 setting, this map puts the offence starting off in landingcraft that are out in the water but can't get to shore due to the rocks, warthogs, and turrets that are along the beach. The attackers have to get across the beach and scale the cliff that acts as a wall surrounding the Island.
The best way for the offence to gain ground is by destroying the spawning generators which will cause the defence to spawn further back and allow the offence to spawn further along. The Cliff is the only spawning gen that isn't recapturable by the defence once it has been taken over by the attackers.

This map took me from October 16th to December 5th to complete.
I Hope that many appreaciate and enjoy this map.

WOOHOOO! This map KICKS ACE.. in every aspect its vgca! The theme is great A+ there, The eye candy and overall feel of the map is awsome, the idea of runing up the shore and being able to spawn closer and closer is espicially awsome because its basicly like battle here, than spawn farther up battle there, and so one. The terrain is sweet! too, the custom buildings are kick ACE, I woulda never known someone could be so good at making custom buildings thats not Akira. Then finally but defenitly not least ITS SIEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats basicly what the A+ is for its AWSOME OVER ALL LOVE IT BLOCK BUSTER HIT!

This map is great! I think it is slightly overboard on the turrets, but the gameplay is great! I just love jumping off the dropships and "parachuting" to the ground with a Shield Pack. I would give this map the A+ it deserves, but I scripted a bit for this map, so I'm involved with it and not allowed to rate it.

A very interesting and fun map. I have to say my favorite thing was hiding under the water next to a turret at the start and watching it kill itself, lol! Anyway, I think it is actually a balanced map except for the fact that there are so many turrets. Turrets are also a MAJOR fps problem, not only a hindrance. I can see it being a problem for the O to keep the inv at the bridge online and being able to send enough O for the final switch. I think skiing along that flat terrain will just promote spam and shocklancing. I'd be interested to see how this would play out online. Excellent job on the detail and time spent. I love the trenches and all that, very cool stuff. If I could review this it'd definitely get above 90th percentile for detail and time spent. :)

I wasn't aware plasma turrets could kill themselves. I thought they would shoot themselves until they were so damaged they couldn't shoot anymore o_O

that comment makes no sense, it has no suggestions or any real value about the map, its like he didnt even look at the map

Hmm....every time I spawned on offense, I jumped out into the water the UE, tried jumping out the back of the boat, but as I was swimming forward, UE. Tried some other ways UE's again :(. Well check it out on the defensive side and it seems like a cool map, was too frustrated from UE's :).

Excelent map, not too many turrets, just a challenge... time limit needs to be 60 with more than a couple people playing I think though. It is even fun by your self. I think the middle beach turret should have been AA instead of plasma though. How does a map become map of the week? this one definatly deserves it!

star and vimp, i read the whole thread on the making of this map (ok i got tired after page 5 but i got the idea). only those of us who know how much you guys went through to make this thing should be able to rate it. i love wwII anything so this map is right up my alley. i just got T2 so i haven't had a chance to play it yet but i know it will not disapoint me. from all the pics you guys posted during the building process it seems that there was some bad ass custom building making. i love the bridge and the final solution on how to make it a point of conflict (i know a great big lot about wwII as well as like it, and know that the bridge wouldn't have been my cup-o-tea). so here's my john hancock, and great big blue ribbon. good job

I don't like the gameplay on this map. I don't care for all of the turrets, it cuts down on the job the defense does. This is a very hard cap. But, it is a great looking map and deserves that recognition. The buildings are well done. Overall, the gameplay could be improved, but still a very decent map.

This map is a very well designed map with a neat concept. I can tell a lot of work must have gone into making these custom shapes and designing the map itself. I must admit however, that the gameplay on pubs tends to be long, drawn out, and you get virtually 0 teamplay invovled. But with the right people, with a well coordinated team, and using actual teamplay, this map would work out very well. It may not be the funnest map out there, but I feel it deserves an A+ for all the work that went into the map (I know there was more work invovled in the making of this map than my map), and a gameplay that is still fun, even if not fun every time it's played.

Well done, Vimp and others. This took alot of time and effort on your part. The turret placements are a little over exagerated, but it is a neat map to play.

*chuckles at unkown* you have know clue how much more effort was put into these maps then not only your maps, but my maps, and everyone out there's maps. This is truely the greatest Tribes2 map creatation of all time. A complete work of art the proves one very great point to all people of tribes two. This map shows the great things that can be accomplished through teamwork, you know it when you look at the map and when you play it. I am soooo glad this map made MOTW finnaly, it deserves it!

i like the realisim, like the river and the terrain. The whole thing looks awsome. The only problem is playing on the attacking side, It SUCKS! lol If you just added an invo or atleast a energy pack it would be better. Playing the D side is fun though, with all the turrets and getting to torment the offence as the slowly try to make there way up the cliffs, ;) lol

I am not much of a full time siege player but I love a great map. This is a great map. Get it and go play on the pond. It absolutely fun to play even a CTF regular will love this map.

This is what i've been waiting for for a long time. The landing crafts, spawning farther and farther along, and the siege parts are what i wanted to see in Beach Head Day, but didn't.
