Capture the Flag Single Player Other Clear Bots Client Side Custom Textures
This is smaller map that provides very fast and exciting game play. There are two opposing bases with a controlable bunker in between. They are both heavily defended by two turrents. One of the bases is dug in the side of a mountain and the other is burrowed down in the earth. The Flags are in high, open areas wich makes for heart pounding caps. One of the bases even has a tunnel outgoing, through a mountain and coming out the other side(makes interesting situations!)This map is a very fun ride. I love it!(not surprisingly)

by DarkFame on July 20, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Amazing well done design and concept. I love how you put those two bases down in the ground. The terrain in this map is looking really cool. I had to smile when I saw those "special" gens down there in one of the bases. :) I liked how the tunnel went straight through the mountain and up through a hole. But to be honest I think the base with the tunnel has a little advantage over the other base. It looks like it's easier to defend the gens. To destroy the gens on the opposite team you could just drop some mortars down the base and they'll be offline. But I could be wrong. I hope Dynamix will enable auto-downlaod of client side maps so this map can come to life online. :-D Great work, hope to see more from you.
Woa... talk about warp-speed
by GIMPbeowulf on July 22, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Woa... talk about warp-speed skiing... dang. Even the jugs w/o Epacks can get around well. It looks like one that would be most fun with a smaller crowd... the bases are small, and I don't think they'd do too well with a big group. One nice thing I noticed was that the capturable inv was not right next to the switch that controls it so flipping the spitch back and forth won't be too effective... yel have to hold it. The switch is out in the open, though, so don't expect it to be too easy. The sentry placement was also incredably awesome in all cases... just where the sneaky cloakers and such DON'T want them to be... looking down a long tube you fall into right next to one... with an ELF guarding the flag (evil setup, btw, but easy to destroy)... another one right as you drop into their base. For both sides, the gens are easy to take out, so beware, a heavy at your door can wack the gens with one well-shot mortar in either case. (requires bouncing it off a wall in one case) For the base with the single top entry, you can probably toss a mortar in the right place to nock them from well outside the base... I didn't test it, though. Though your bases are vulnerable in their lay-out, they are well defended by 2 plas turrets at each main enterance, and for the base that has 2 enterances, that one sentry is at least as bad as a plas.
You know, this REALY gets me
by UFO64 on July 23, 2001 Permalink · Rating:You know, this REALY gets me mad. You say this map was made for Single player play, yet you dont even include a readme to tell us how to se it up for SP play? I realy hope that you saying it was for SP was just something you didn't intend to do, at that time i will re grade.
Ufo64; I don't think that was

by PromethialBot on July 30, 2001 Permalink · Rating:I like this map from the the first glimsp of it. The defenses are good but easily handled. Just add a little player defense know how and it a soild base. But I did have a problem: I grabbed the enemy flag and ran back to my base and my flag was gone, the enemy did not have it, the bots still thought it was at my base and kept comeing for it, yet it was not there! It would get an "A+" if it were not for that problem.

LOL, Can't believe these
by Vimp on October 29, 2001 Permalink · Rating:LOL, Can't believe these people out there that think its a turret instead of a turret. I can't figure what these people are thinking. This is the first time I seen some one spell it that way for Tribes2 but in Tribes1 I'm sure I wittnessed like over 20 people in the 3 years I played it that said turret instead of turret.

by Vimp on October 29, 2001 Permalink · Rating:LOL, thats even funnier. It won't let me spell turret with an "n". Must be spell check on here and since turret with an "n" isn't a word I can't even put in my comment.
That should stress to these people just how much it isn't a word.

you don't have to start insulting the maker just becasue YOU don't know how to install it, remember in the future. I got it to work, and yes, to that other comment, even Juggers with no Epack can get around.
