Juxtaposition is my first map for Tribes 2. I spent a considerable amount of time learning the editor's quirks and nuances, and this is the end result.
The bases are very close together. The action on this map is hectic. We playtested it with 32 players and the carnage was plentiful. :)
Both base generators must be destroyed before attackers have access to the flag. Keep your generators repaired! Also, the only vehicle station on the map is at a capturable base off to one side.
Have fun!

This map makes work as a team, if u go alone ur dead. This is a greate map for lan parties! I hope to see more maps Bytor. Great work. One thing, inferno has a slight advantage over storm, for being so close to the objective. But overall this is a must get map!
Thanks for the great comments
by Bytor on August 10, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Thanks for the great comments Warlocklord. The vehicle base is slightly closer to the Inferno side, but not much. You can still jumpjet to the capture switch from either side. I'll see how it goes as the map gets more play ... if it turns out to be a distinct advantage, then I'll see about moving the capture switch. It didn't matter during my playtesting ... the Inferno team got stomped anyway. :)
It's a great map, really
by KryandArturo on August 10, 2001 Permalink · Rating:It's a great map, really promotes teamwork to get the generators out and take the flag before they're repaired. My only problem with it is the water and lack of flat land, but that's just my opinion. I had fun during the playtest of it (especially when I hid in the space above the enemy flag for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take down the gens... I was trapped in the forcefield... lol). Anyway, keep up the good work.
Apart from the close
by Star on August 10, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Apart from the close proximity of the flags, I also liked the captuable vehicle pad. I haven't seen this idea in maps until recently in the last few weeks. It is a good idea because it makes the objective worth something besides sensors or turrets or both. The bases are simple and that is my thing so no complaints there. The water is useful for covert satchel runs at the gens when the d is preoccupied. The grade is an A mostly because it has 4 things I like: 1) simple bases 2) Open flag (when gens are down) 3) Good Sensor placement 4) B-man is running the site
Very unique gameplay afforded
by Rilke on August 12, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Very unique gameplay afforded by the close base proximity. Beatings a plenty instead of few and far between like maps with similar model. Action speaks much louder than anything else on this map, which is the way it should be. Shows you can have "newer" models with old school fun.

Another map I forget to
by TseTse on September 8, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Another map I forget to comment on! This map is really novel and a blast to play. The offset nuetral base makes for fun dynamics and a need for teamwork. The proximity of the two bases is thus balanced with both intensity and deep water. All player types get their hands dirty, be them snipers, mortar freaks, pilots or cappers. Simplicity at its best, with base areas JUST big enough to cause a grand old hoot when the havocs full of heavvies come across!
