I liked the bases a lot and the fact that the vehicle station was underwater. The tower you placed in the maps that faced the enemy base are a nice touch for those who snipe of like missile launchers. Kinda reminds me of desiccator but with water and ice. Overall nicely done. :D

But it worked quite well and now I wonder why the author of "Ocean Floor" didn't have the vehicle stations work. Take out the grav cycles and mpb and they should all work right...right ?
I love the look of the clear
by mike on July 25, 2001 Permalink · Rating:I love the look of the clear water, but that is where everything ends. There are tons of map bugs. You can get under the terrain and swim to the enemy base so that you can pop up out of no where, several places where that is possible. Quite a few of the rock structures are hovering in the air (or water) and one of them you can get inside. The turret in the generator base doesn't stop anyone who just swims up high and mortars or grenades that generator. The turrets are on towers that are so high that they are ineffective against gravcycles. If you switch out the barrel, it is slightly better but the missiles explode behind it doing minimal damage.
Hmmm. Mike please contact me

Some of the shapes you can go in or whatever, but that is unavoidable due to the way they were made.
As far as turrets, the object was to make poeple defend. I dont like maps that basically let the defenders do nothing, except sit back and watch, as the turrets do all the work. I played this today on a pub and the FF Gens went down.. Guess what, a group of poeple went over and got them back and defended it.
Hmm, The turrets were placed for proper highth as too cover most vehicles. The AAs will rip up Gravs that are cruising thru their (as long as the sensor is up). What the sensor cant see, the turrets arent going to shoot, unless they are close.
As well, This map was made with a Team in mind.. People playing Defense, people flying and doing Shrike D, people going for flag.
I'm willing to fix anything I can fix, that doesnt require modifying terrain.

Just about any mapper here can explain how or you can go to the forums or look in a tutorial about filling in the holes that exist already in a map. I would also suggest you lower those towers as they don't do much good against players up there, too high for a plasma or mortar to work. I would suggest even placing them on a some form of flat column.
