Stardust Remixed by v5planet on April 23, 2002

Capture the Flag Other Clear Client Side Custom Textures Custom Shapes Night

Well, it's been a while, but here it is.
This is essentially the same as the original Stardust with a few additions that warranted a release as a new map.
This is a tough map to crack. Flags are far away and protected with forcefields, which are powered by exposed satellite dishes. To powerdown the sentry turrets inside the flag base, attack the generators in the main base.
A capturable objective provides 100 points (equal to one flag cap) which makes it extremely valuable (it also gives three turrets and inv stations at central locations). The script for the objective being worth points was created, by, well, I don't remember. If you know who, please tell me so I can give him/her proper dues. Gravity is slightly lowered to add to ambiance and make the vertical scale of the map viable.
New to this version:
1) the old bridge on the center crater has been replaced by a custom interior made in worldcraft
2) team-only teleporters from a platform (also made in WC) near the Veh Pad to the main base have been added to make transportation between the ground and dropship faster. (thanks to Sparky for his teleporter code)
3) A new sky, featuring, yes, a bright blue Earth on the horizon.
Enjoy!

wow..those interiors look like they should have been included with the rest of the diamond sword stuff. that what (formerly dynamix) needs to do is get a bunch of new terrain/heightmaps, and custom buildings like akira's and various others and include it in a new patch..and of course Bytor's auto download...*sigh* quit dreaming deathscythe

FINNALLY! v5 planet has came out to show his skills with worldcraft, I saw your other beta "the dig" thats pretty damned sweet, and now I'm very glad you came out with a map again phew another Mega Mapper in the field.

Heh heh, I remember The Dig....there were some fundamental problems with that base, and the map for that matter.
Anyway, this is nothing, I have much nicer Worldcraft creations in store for you guys - I was just cleaning up Stardust for nBase (you'll be hearing about this very soon).

Got a chance to beta this, and must say its a nice piece of work.. I have much respect for v5, along with some of the other premiere mappers for what they do, that I don't. ;) In any case, I wouldve given this map an A+, but I didn't like the 2 sentry turrets in the flag base... :)

I Love This Map (Stardust i mean), this remix is very good...i won't give it a A+ because when the mapper is a good mapper you should make an avaluation not for what he did in the map but what he forgot to make in the map, nice job if you have better worldcrafts please put them available as quickly as possible!!! lol
Good Luck with your other maps...

I love this map (although v5planet kinda smells funky). This is a big map, very fun. Very vehicle oriented. Same successful design as the original, just flushed out with more custom goodies. Great job.

"...just flushed out with more custom goodies..." that sounds like a bad case of diarrhea? is that what your trying to say ;P

Well, it's a lot like the name implies, it's the original but modified. Has nice additions like teleporters and a custom bridge. Overall, great map. Great changes to an already A+ quality map.
