Capture the Flag Lush Raining

Aloha!

Raindance Beyond: An Overview.
This map was created based off of an old Tribes 1 map, with the same title.
This map has 2 bases compiled of similar bases that the T1 map was made of,
the central airbase has been modified from the original, at first there were
two, designed similar to the one I constructed, I have since then updated it
to work better with T2. The rest of the designs are similar to the T1 map
with the exception of the water. Raindance Beyond, the T1 version, interested
me in mapping, and although the remake that I did, does not do the other justice,
it is as close as I could come without creating a custom base. I wanted the map
to be SS just like in T1.

Airbase: The top area in the arch is made for vehicles to land and repair or reload.
Inside, a skilled shriker can fit his/her shrike, also inside are three inventory
stations, a repair pack and health items. A ramp leads up to the top of the airbase,
for the fatties that can't jet up. The airbase has four turrets, two missile on top
one mortar on the bottom and one elf guarding the switch. The outer pylons each have
one sentry turret to make capturing the objective harder. The airbase is a great
place to spam the enemy base and reload/repair havocs and bombers. Getting to the
airbase and holding it requires teamwork.

Mainbase: The main base has a total of two gens, nine inventory stations, two v-pads,
three turrets (plasma, two missile), and two sensors. The base itself is very large
and the location of the gens and flag make it hard to cap and rape if the enemy defense
is good. However, as it was popular in T1, in certain mods with teleporters, one can
take control of the lower original raindance base, creating a easy way to cap, however
jetting up the tower as a heavy makes it very hard. The two v-pads have different
vehicles, the ground one has ground only vehicles and the upper one has air only.

Vehicles, esp. bombers should have fun here, although the air v-pad is harder to kill,
it is still quite possible to achieve air superiority.

I have yet to submit a CS map, although I have many started, perhaps later
this summer I shall.

Thanks to =W= and -(FS)- guys along with FragX who helped me with the map
through constructive criticism.

Till then,
Q-Ice

One more note....The water is just eyecandy, it in no way will decrease your speed as you enter it, however it may increase your speed, if you fall into it, it will be like falling through the air, there will be no cushion.

It still maintains the properties of water, so you can't fire your plasma rifle in it, but you can move around in it easier.

I naturally hate Raindance variants. Do you know how many of those I had to play in Starsiege Tribes?

I know Red, but this was my fav of the variants, along with Raindance Nights or something..I enjoyed those two and some snow map that I have since forgotten its name. But thanks for not letting your natural dislike affect the grade.
