Mordor by Stuart "Vovin" Presley on June 8, 2001

Siege Volcanic Foggy Client Side Night

Mordor is a siege map with five objectives. Four generators are to be destroyed and the switch is to be activated to win the game. Unlike most siege maps, the generators, once destroyed, will not maintain power even if repaired. The vehicle pad will provide all ground vehicles as well as the transport. The main base holding the flag can be entered without completing any of the previous objectives but the entrance way is very small and guarded by turrets. The first objective will help in gaining vehicle access to the base. The second and third objectives will compromise the generator providing the air support and the force fields surrounding the main entrances to the base holding the control switch. The bots were not very fond of the lava and the defenses were a bit much for there liking so, sadly, I've removed bot support from this map. As the defensive team loses it's generators they should have their spawns pushed back as well so they will find that they aren't always travelling great distances to provide support to the key areas that need it.

Nice map. I spent a couple rounds trying to find the "hole" in the defenses @ the main base. Very well hidden that... also I've noticed a "fly-by" path that makes it easy for the Offense team to get by 85\% of the turrets.

Other than that, a pleasant map. Defeating the Gens one @ a time knowing that they can't be repaired is a good feeling, assuring the offense that they don't have to cover the same ground twice, so to speak. Thanks for the map!

i woulda thought u'd make it more accurate to the book- 2 entrances, one with 2 gens and easy to get to, the other with heaps of turrets
