Capture the Flag Volcanic Clear Client Side Night

Two flags lie in opposing volcanic basins, separated by a gulch and a fiery river of molten lava.

Although harmful the lava river and and pitfalls are extremely shallow and thin. Originally this was designed so flags could be easily snatched out of the lava. Unfortunately the last patch included a change whereby flags dropped in lava return almost immediately to their stands, which basically rendered this feature of the map moot. It's still possible to fall in the lava and escape, or even skip off the bottom of the lava gulch and take only minor damage.

Power is provided by two Geothermal Generator Rigs placed at opposite ends of the map. The tower and inventory bunkers are also protected by force fields powered by nearby generators or solar panels.

Although the sides are not exact mirror images of one another, I did my best to make sure they were fairly balanced. It is easily possible to HO to the Generator Rigs, and also to the flag area (provided you can make it across the bridges). Neither side should have any glaring advantages or disadvantages. If you find anything that seems imbalanced, let me know and I'll either disprove it or do my best to fix it.

The flag is open and should be fairly easy to grab. Due to the small size of the map and the trecherous lava river, controlling the bridges is likely the key to victory!

This is my first map, and likely to be my only one for a while. I started with the simple idea of two flags separated by a valley and a molten river and I went from there. The volcanic basins fit the theme, so I added that and placed the flag stands in them.

I spent a lot of time on this map and I think it turned out fairly well and has stayed true to my original vision.

I tried my best to make both sides balanced, and also to make both offense and defense equally difficult. I think the map should be fairly fast paced and fun to play.

You decide whether I succeeded, or failed. I look forward to hearing your comments and/or suggestions.
