Capture the Flag Volcanic Storming

This is a fun little map. Some of the ideas for it came to me before I even started messing with the T2 editor at all, and some of it is loosely inspired by broadside. In the end, it's a creative "arena" map that can be loads of fun. The short distance between the bases, coupled with the multitude of bridges and platforms at a variety of altitudes (including ramps, and bridges that cross over and under each other), and the complex bases with multiple entrances makes it a fast-paced but still-strategic map. Mortar spamming is common here, but so is cloaking and stealth, and just plain-old light-dueling as well... but you have to watch where you land or you may end up feeding the lava gods, unless you're lucky enough to land on one of the small patches of solid rock below the bases. :) The name of the map is accurate... The environment is -very- nasty, in that there's lava below, misty air, an angry red sky, and the lightning and meteor strikes are frequent and compressed into a small area (chances are you'll get hit sometime during the mission, since the map gets hit about every 3 seconds by lightning, and more than once per second by meteorites).

Hostility is right. If the lightning doesnt get you, the meteors will. A 'mini' Broadside with T2 spice, plus weather from hell. If you want a FIGHTING map, get this one. Thats what this map is good for. GREAT for smaller hosts (16 ppl) running a game on dsl or cable.

Hostile indeed. Multiple bridges to attack from or to be attacked on. Forward turrets make sure entry to the base isn't like a walk in. Isn't a breakthrough map but fun enough.

This is one of the best maps I've played for Tribes 2 period. FPS get killed when outside due to the heavy fog, but this map is GREAT! I run it on my server when not running bots. A+ if it had bots. Sorry pilots and bombers though. No vehicles!

Aw great map. While my frame rates were piss poor it was still entirely playable. I love the 3d aspect of this map. I could jump out of my base, shoot someone in the back with a disc, they fall to a lower level, and i follow them. Jumping from level to level to continue the battles is one of THE most appealing aspects of this map. The atmosphere is pretty cool, and I love the load up quote.
The reason this didn't score in the A range is that it pretty much always ends in a stalemate. Not only is the flag deep inside the base, there are also turrets all the hell over the place, and potential for tons of mortar spamming.
Nevertheless, I had a blast on this map.
