Capture the Flag Snow Snowing Bots

The two bases are a good walking distance apart and although there aren't any objectives there is a supply bunker on the way. MPB's have been removed due to the rocky terrain wich isn't so bad but you couldnt get an MPB through it.

Awesome map! I'd give it an A+ but the underground base is a bit of a maze. Not a problem once you learn the layout, but after playing Recalesence where newbies always ask "Where are the gens?" I know that this map will be full of people asking where each of the different gens are or where's the flag. The layout of the bases is a little maze like which is good for cloaked assassins but bad for cappers. My outdoor framerate kinda suck but that's not too big a problem since I can just stay inside and defend. The supply depot is nice though the items are floating a little high in the air. The mortar turrets seem oddly placed, they're mainly useful for attacking players that have gotten past it because of the hill in the way. The problem with that is that it will then be shooting at it's own base. Still that's not too big a problem since there's not too much to hit outdoors. Overall it's a really good map though like recalesence the number of flag captures will most likely be very low and a lot of people will get lost in the bases.

A very good map, I'm surprised that I haven't noticed it running on any servers. This map is ideal for many players. The generator placement seems a bit random, but that might be good. I like the upsidedown turret at the flag. :) The supply station is useful, but I noticed some of the objects just were floating too high. It would look better if they were on the ground. But this is a great map! I recommend server admins using this map in their cycle.

See? I do give out low grades. ;) Here's why I won't be running this map:

It's basically Ultima Thule CTF, with vehicles. With 38-40 people playing this map, we got hardly any offense going on either side. I think one team knocked out ONE generator.

So this is going to be one of those maps where, if the whole offensive team is working together (and when's the last time that happened in a pub match?) you may be able to get ONE cap in 30 minutes.

In Ultima Thule, you just have to get those generators down to hit a switch. Here you gotta get the flag out.

The map's quite pretty and everything, but it's just not my speed and a lot of the players agreed with me. They voted a mapchange to BigRocks after about 15 minutes of play.

If you're practicing with another tribe, or with a group of cooperative high-skill players that like low-scoring games, this might be your cup of tea. But it isn't really mine...

I play offline using BotPilot; my Internet connection ping pongs too much to play online. I give this map a B because the bots are set up well enough to actually maintain the bases to about 40\% service (no turret repair or inventory repair, but they repair generators), the distance between bases makes vehicles useful, the terrain will let you get a vehicle close to the other base without too many missile lock opportunities, and I like to play stealth, so the labyrinth base is good for me. The Supply Depot is extraneous if there is even only one farmer per team. I'll definitely play this map more than once...
