Capture the Flag Desert Foggy Bots Night
The First Chapter in a three part set. Loosely based on H.P Lovecraft's "Chthulu Mythos" and sections of the NECRONOMICOM.
The bases are 950 clicks apart giving plenty of room for some good action. Each base is armed with 2 plasma cannons, 1 missile turret, and 1 elf. Flagstand is accessible from all four sides so defense here is critical. The back base contains two gens and a repair pack with no defenses. The ground level fog though very dense can be jetted above, so sneaking up on people is very easy. Full outfit on the vpad.
Bot support is included and if given the chance they will gang up on you.
The "Mouth" located at the center of the map is very anti-social, and if given the chance it will take a chunk out of you (this can be used to your advantage as well)
Snipers can have a field day by just staying on the upper levels of the base (which in itself is 150 clicks tall)
On a Gforce2 MX this map got rather nice fps so it shouldn't be a problem for many.
The first Chapter of the Sci-Fi/Horror story is included in the .vl2 file which incorporates the map into it's plot line. So you get to play the story. (cheesy I know, but it's hard to think gruesome about a map unless you got something to go with it that makes it that way)
Anyway, this is my first map. So I hope you like it. More on the way.
(Part two will be called "Caldra")

by Knell on November 22, 2002 Permalink · Rating:nice looking map but... a 150 click tall base? 150 clicks from the surface is pretty close to orbit(or in orbit)and corssing 950 clicks would take close to 3 hours to cross in a shrike. But i'm sure you mean metres so i'm gonna download it

Nice going SSBeast, makes for
by Lexor on November 24, 2002 Permalink · Rating:Nice going SSBeast, makes for an intense and interesting battle, even with bots (they really do behave in very interesting ways on this map). I loved the Rev-specific version and will be including it in the next Rev Mod release.
