Capture the Flag Lush Clear Client Side Custom Textures Custom Shapes

Well, after being laid off my job a few weeks ago I have found some free time to start mapping and prefabing again. So, here is my first T2 map with my own custom interiors. Don’t let the pics on this page fool you, the main base itself just might be the largest interior built for Tribes 2 yet, maybe. Let me start out be telling you all a little about each interior. The main base consist of a castle, two huge bunkers on the front beach, a hanger for flying vehicles only in the sea cliff, a motor pool for land vehicles only under the castle and all these are connected underground by a network of tunnels and rooms. At the fare North and South of this map are two different types of suspension bridges that connect the two landmasses. At the ends of both bridges is a team bunker that has a secret back door entrance where you will find the bunker generator. Each teams main base interior faces the enemy separated by a body of water. Be careful, the front of these main bases is heavily defended so a simple jump-fly across the body of water may not be the safes way to go. Also, you’ll find it hard getting a tank up the steep sea cliff walls so I recommend using the passes and bridges. Remember, I have been away from mapping for some time now and this map may be a bit rusty. However, it’s been play tested time and time again and I think most of the bugs have been worked out (keeping fingers crossed). One more thing, for some reason this map takes quite a while to load so give it time. I’m not sure if I am building the vl2 file right or not. If you have problems getting it to load simply unzip the vl2 file using Winzip into your base folder. That seams to fix the load problem for me. Anyway, hope you enjoy it. Expect to see more from this dinosaur of T2 mapping.

Oh yeah, if anyone is looking to hire a 3D game artist or Reliability Engineer, send me a bite on my email. I sure could use a paying job right about now.

I was able to play it once running from a LAN and from what I saw it looked really good :). Unfortunately When I try to play the map online my connection (to the server) tends to time out while I'm still loading objects. It probably is due to my poor P3-600 :(. But I love the bigger maps, I just need to upgrade.
