Capture the Flag Lush Clear

Dear Player,

Arrogant Queens (CTF) is the sixth map created by myself, |CHAOS MAGE| (AKA- MageMod).

The map is specifically designed for MageMod; however, it is a great map for all servers (and administrators) that like capture the flag with castles!

The terrain is from Scarabrae (one of the original T1 maps) so the ground is lush, with a nice sky from the Ramparts map. Each castle is approximately 2000m apart, which makes 'capping' a little hard. However, each team has the use of two vehicle pads to help with their assault.

There are a total of six (6) solar panels and one (1) large generator. Repairing any one of the tower panels will (re)activate everything. The large generator located in the center of the castle on the ground controls turrets and inventory stations; defending this generator is essential. Repair packs are located at the very top of the castle. There is a 'Safe Zone' also located in the upper structure.

The flags are exposed, and to help with defense, there are plenty of 'nooks and crannies' to place turrets, along with the four (4) AA-Turrets already in place. To make the environment enjoyable, there are tons of sounds throughout the map as well as trees, and water.

I hope you enjoy the creativity and time that went into making the map!

Thank you for downloading the map. Please e-mail me at [email protected] with suggestions and comments!

Very pleasing to the eye. Combines both a hard to ski terrain around the base, with a very easy to ski terrain inbetween the mountains infront of bases. Base design is very nice. My only problem is that the lack of fog and the high vis, will cause either a flocking of laser rifle whores. Its still a good map either way, but vpad sniping is annoying enough without encouraging it. Your getting better =D

Thanx, it took me a while to create the base, but even longer to set it in a nice terrain! I work with Bryce, so I have experience with 3D environments like the world editor... You are also very right, v-pad sniping is not enjoyable... I should have added little bunkers around the v-pad station. Next time! - And thanx...

That castle looks AMAZING for having done it without worldcraft. I haven't played it yet, but I have a concern about screen lag... when a base/map is designed like that (from the screenies), that focuses the action onto one place. This can be good, in small matches, but in bigger games (like you seem to be shooting for) too much is happening at once, and the framerate slows to a crawl. CTF is notorious for that effect, due to the flags creating natural focus points.

Oh, one other thing, blowing up 4 sensors at once is near impossible in large ctf games. Star, I didnt get any lag, because I dont think the pieces have been resized much if at all
