Convoy is a vehicle-centric, team-oriented mission. Both offense and defense have objectives: Offense- Kill all enemy MPB's (each one acts as a generator) to expose the switch. Defense- Either protect the MPB's for the full time of the match or drive at least one of them to the stonghold at Neothgard. Oh, and don't drive out of bounds, or the MPB will start taking damage.
MPB's are the most difficult object in the game to kill. Extensive teamwork is required to take them out, and similar teamwork is neccessary in protecting these mobile objectives.
Convoy -NE- adds a great deal of customized scripting, almost a mod unto itself. Vehicles have added or modified weaponry, speed and maneuverability have been increased for all vehicles, and the MPB's now generate a nuclear explosion on destruction.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who has helped make this map possible. To Fishie, Wow!, and all the regulars on "the pond", thank you for your support.

by starstriker1 on December 10, 2002 Permalink · Rating:I just recently tried this out on the pond. Watching a MPB blow sky high was fun (though it ruined my shrike very quickly). The customized shrikes were the most fun thing... I'd be interested in seeing these on other maps. My only gripe is that the shrikes weapons aren't useable against slow moving or stationary targets... only other shrikes. A faster lock would fix that. This map is better than convoy in allmost every way. Good job!

What happened? The cool map
by Red Shifter on March 5, 2003 Permalink · Rating:What happened? The cool map of ownage I knew is gone. Instead, you have this MOD. You change everything around, and screw with every piece of script that Tribes 2 carries. I'm surprised this doesn't crash when I host it.
