Because of a silly couple lines of code in Tribes 2, the remap list on the Controls page of the Settings dialog responds harshly to rebinding keys that are or were associated with third party scripts. Under the following conditions, Tribes 2 will give you a certain error (" is already bound to a non-remappable command!") when rebinding keys. 1. You installed a third-party script which added an entry to the previously mentioned remap list. You removed that script and are trying to rebind a key that was previously bound to an entry in the remap list from that script. 2. You installed a third-party script which did not add a remap entry to the list, but instead replaced an existing function with a third-party one. (for example, the HappyThrow script upon being run for the first time rebinds the user's grenade key from the default function, throwGrenade, to the script's function, throwGrenadeNew) The script may still be installed, but you are trying to rebind the key bound to that third-party function. In either of these two cases, T2 will prevent you from rebinding that key. After installing this script, instead of receiving that error message, a Yes/No dialog box will be displayed warning that one of the above situations is true. As of yet, the script is unable to know WHICH of the two situations is true. Therefore, it is up to you to decide whether to rebind the key or not. If you know you have removed the script in question, you can safely rebind the key. If you still have that script installed, you can still rebind the key, but to ensure there is no loss of functionality from that script, you should check the documentation for the script on how to bind the key.
