I have been working on Charred for several months now and finally finished it. It started as just a small idea that grew into a large map with many new ideas. I added Teleporters to the offense side to get you from the main ship down to the crashed ship below. You can also teleport to the back cargo bay and open the shield there to get out/in depending on your needs.. :) The defense has 4 generator crates that power different areas, along with a primary and secondary generator that provides power to the Switch FF's Also there are many crashed cargo bays with various vpads and inventory stations laying around to help either team. All the vpads have a different load out for ships.. So choose your defensive style along with your offensive style carefully.. This will be the last big map I do as far as file size.. I am going back to the base textures and skies.. so it should reduce the total file size.. : )

thanks :) this one really turned out well in the scenery department but thats about it.. I will be updating it eventually, just dont have alot of time anymore... real life getting to be a big chunk of time eater..

This map is (as RS says,) beautiful. Looking at the amount of downloads it's sad that there are so few. Nice work on this map, but the gameplay needs some more thought.

Lag is awful, apparently due to visible distance. The sentry turret by the primary secondary gens makes it impossble to take the gens out, the objectives are too far apart, and personally i find the crashed ship is tilted too much and really annoys me. Maybe just a slight tilt? Everything else is great, lol :)Please update, this map has billions of potential.

nice map Kip :) good job on the texturing and base layouts. i enjoyed testing and playing this map. one problem i have was the low fps that i got when outside. i dont know why but it is not normal at all on my pc. the only other thing is i thought that there could be some air vehicles in the main ship in the sky. but like you said the doors were to small... :) great job

Oh and of course credits :) Wires.dts compliments of Dox. The FF door trick brought to my attention by Unknown. Ship and cargo ship names drawn at random : ) Special Inventory station names for Celios and Slivers_Revenge (dont ask) Textures taken form a quake site. Evil something created by: Author: Yves Allaire aka evil lair Email: hfx@planetquake.com URL: http://planetquake.com/hfx He has alot to choose form so look it up.. : ) anyways there are many neat little things in the map that help give it atmosphere.. enjoy.. If you dont play it at least look at it and explore :)
