---Ninevah--- After long hard work I finally decided to work with another map. To keep up with the custom building trend I have decided to get used to the new things of mappers. So this map involves a whole set of Greek textures (some may not be used in the map). Also I will stick to my siege roots and hope that more siegers start to work on maps. Ninevah is based around a Greek/Roman theme. The defenders have 2 force field generators atop high mountains. These control force field to the defenders main base. In the main base there is one generator named "Zephir" this controls the final force fields to the switch positioned in a near by pond. The attackers are highly defended with many sentry and Plasma turrets to stop those annoying llamas, though I could have borrowed Red Shifter's llama script, I have decided not to, mainly because I can have another custom interior :P. They are also supported with a vehicle station that supplies Wildcats, Tanks, MPBs, and Havocs. Shrikes and Bombers have been disabled due to unfair game play issues. All in all I hope you give the map a fair rating, and I would like to thank Verna, for help, and The Pond for keeping our beloved siege alive. Now I open the curtains to 9vah. |

Grade: None » Submitted by Alundra on 05/29/02Well I could go on a long explination why I choose that name, and the history behind it all. But I can describe it in one simple sentance... The name sounded good :P Grade: A+ » Submitted by )(ypersonic on 05/29/02Stunning map, be interesting to see how it plays with a full server. Just curious though, why you choose Ninevah as the title for the map, when the setting is obviously greco-roman. Considering Ninevah was located in the region of Assyria. A tad bit to the east of anything Greek related. Grade: A+ » Submitted by Hoserman on 05/26/02great map. could you maybe tell me where yuo got those awesome textures. i really love them. ih ope to see more maps freom you Grade: A+ » Submitted by T3Goaten on 05/26/02oooooooooooo this i like. altuogh im not sure about the playabality i really like the map Grade: A+ » Submitted by Iczer3 on 05/26/02and to think that i don't play Siege much... Only one word can truely describe the wonders that you have made here...: WOW. Grade: A+ » Submitted by DragonBreath on 05/22/02Great work alundra. i realy like the textures on the buildings. Grade: A- » Submitted by hcats on 05/22/02Good map, I like the textures and I really like the twists and turns of the main base and how it opens into the main gen room. I would change one thing. I think that making the generators like the ones in Trident (hard to kill and can't repair) this map would be insanely cool ;) Grade: A » Submitted by D2_HamMerDiN on 05/18/02Alundra you sexay bitch! Good job. See you in the pond. 8) Grade: A- » Submitted by deathscythe~40 on 05/14/02the only thing i dont like is the Vpad...it sticks out like a very sore thumb...would have been better if that was redone also but overall i like the concept and simplicity of the bases..very nice Grade: B+ » Submitted by Oxicontin on 05/13/02I love the textures, but the map is a little too simple. The bases good be a little more detailed I feel. But over all a very nice map. Grade: A+ » Submitted by Snow Storm on 05/13/02GREAT MAP! Everything! Seige, textures, playable, brilliant!!! Grade: None » Submitted by Lead Falcon on 05/11/02HOLY F*CKING... how the... wHErE diD YOu GeT THosE TeXTuREs??! I MUST KNOW!!! THEY ARE SO SWEET! Just looking at the Screenshots makes me wish it weren't 11:30 at night, so i could test it. I'll post a grade tomorrow or somethin, cause i dont want to grade it before i actually play it =) anyway, from the look of it, GREAT JOB! Grade: None » Submitted by Iczer3 on 05/11/02*sniff* that... is simply beautiful man... I wish i could playtest it, but nooooo. My machine UEs every time i try to host an online or LAN server. Reinstalling doesn't work, Ad-aware doesn't work, nothing works! Help would be much appreciated! Grade: None » Submitted by snyperpunk_LP on 05/11/02WOOHOO!!!!! bout time a new map came out! nice simple bases and cool greek style=D Ill D/L it if it gets on the pond. Grade: A+ » Submitted by Red Shifter on 05/11/02This map kicks ass. Although I think the offense base is too open and too easy to llama against, it's not worse than Trident's open base. Getting rid of the bomber was a great idea, but since you have to split up your team to make the attack, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to get rid of the shrike. Of course, any light can get into a wildcat since all the ground vehicles still exist. All in all, however, this is better than my last map, Subterranean Clash. Great work! Grade: None » Submitted by Fragment on 05/10/02Ahh... so thats why it played smooth when I hosted it myself. My mistake... Grade: None » Submitted by Alundra on 05/10/02Actully Fragment thats my shizzy server (Or I hope) that is causing the lagg. Grade: A » Submitted by Fragment on 05/10/02So this is why I haven't seen you around lately. Very impressive buildings and textures. The Sky is simply stunning. I don't think the playability would be that bad, any way to really tell is with a fair amount of people playing it. It is quite laggy though (lost connection once because of it, you were there). Grade: None » Submitted by Alundra on 05/10/02Well good, I'm glad you took in consideration of both aspects. I would like to see how this plays on "The Pond" though so I can atleast get a nice idea of playibility. Grade: A » Submitted by SkaMaster on 05/09/02The custom shapes on this map are amazing. The tiles especially. I always enjoy it when someone takes the time to develop their own bases and shapes. The map itself is good. Not A good though. If anyone has downloaded Maroon Bells, it has jaw-dropping terrain, but the base layout and playability is nothing. It seems more like a map made to just show off the terrain job. This map is not nearly close to that, but I think there is a SLIGHT presence of that same kind of thinking (only this time with the custom bases in mind). Great map, just be sure to keep in mind all factors in a map, which you did for the most part. Very well done, but not quite deserving an A . |
