This is my second map I have ever made. My first was a clientside that I might post here sometime. I made this map from a gamers point of view for the "map shrinking" Shifter Mod. Why make a map that is pretty, but sucks to play on? lol The flags are roughly 3100m apart. Game area is 16km squared. Flags are a fair distance, separated from the bases, but have protective bunker-like undersides. Visibility is at just under 500m, allowing enough distance for sniping and long range weapons bombardment. There are 3 capturable bases, 2 have vehicle pads. Hard to recapture these bases without Heavy support. Main Team bases also heavily fortified. Main Base Solar Gens power FF's, and Gens power stations, sensors, and turrets. Bases aren't jammed right up against the out of bounds line. Bases sit ~1000m within the out of bounds edges. Vehicle friendly terrain (Slapdash.ter), easy to get around in any vehicle. Thicker fog in low lying areas. Gameplay is everything, play till you die!!!

Great 2nd effort from Jester. This map is inspiring for others who first aim to create maps designed around gameplay. Especially with Shifter, it's becoming clear that outdoor flagstands, somewhat away from the base, are the way to go !! Finally, the size of this map is smallish hehehe.. or almost just right for Shifter-style play (16 on 16 with unimaginable power toys). Nice work Jester, keep 'em coming.

3100m isn't as much as you think it is. Considering the toys in the Shifter mod, 3100m is probably just right. The 3 mid-bases help "fill" this distance. Also Shifter mod has teleporters for personell as well as vehicles, so transporting to and area 500m from enemy flag is very easy and done within 3 secs. Also the MPB's in Shifter allow for massive 1 way teleportation of troops. The Shrike with a Booster module moves at ~700kph after one boost and ~900 kph after 2. So for any mod that employs transportation methods such as these, this map is just right. Sorry long walk Basers!
