This map was redesigned to add more depth to the gameplay and the approach. I added a bunker (screenshot 2) which controls the defensive grid around the base as well as the forcefields protecting the generators. There are a series of "anti-aircraft" turrets (screenshot 3) hidden around the base (screenshot 4). I also added a small bunker over the top of the flag (screenshot 1) that keeps people from doing the lame ole "fly down and fly out" trick. Then, there is the Sensor Tower, which contains 2 AA turrets. The tower adds better sensor coverage and a good sniping point. Overall, the I just wanted to add a little more to the gameplay. One tip though, protect the defensive grid bunker to prevent ownage!!! [This is map 2 of 8 in my Enhanced Series] |

Grade: None » Submitted by AdroNesn on 11/28/01I have not checked out the map yet but I'm happy to see that someone else out there "beefed up" the basic maps. On the server I play on (Altera - it's a mod), players were requesting certain things for some of the standard maps. So I modified a few of them. I did things like add more energy packs on Dust to Dust, and made a smaller version of Sun Dried for games with fewer people. They went over really well. Perhaps I should serve them up in one big vl2 file. |

I forgot to note that my maps are not aimed at public servers, but are for matches. However, it isn't impossible for either pub or match. Just take your time... take out the D Gen... Sensor Jammer or Cloak. The flag can be capped in under 30 secs. Defense is easy... Yes it is, but that means you can have less Defensive players and go all out Offensive. The balance of a map is majorly decided upon the positions that people play.
