What makes this map great is the base, it's huge with large areas for combat. Aboveground the base is flat and terraced with an open topped tower housing the gens. The flag is underground and there are three entrances with unique purposes and characteristics to get you down there. The enemy has a secure area within your base as long as the gens at their base don't go down. They'll have to contend with substantial obstacles getting there though, like a very large pillbox at the end of a very long tunnel. For added fun there's a nice looking warrior grave strategicly located with a health kit. Lastly, due to the large amount of textures, you may need to run your video card at 16 bit from the in-game option. As always, have fun. |

Grade: None » Submitted by Battle on 11/29/01I played this map with 36 players on 5 Assed Monkey, & saw raging battles almost everywhere... I play tested this map for 3 months, maybe I can help with some issues you've brought up: 1) New maps take time to get used to, especially one so rich in so many ways. 2) The enemy flag is 150 meters underground with a secure area for you about 50 meters from it. Even a Juggie could grab it. 3) If you read Rhino's intro, he says you might need to run your card at 16 bit. The textures probably need at least 64mb if you run at 32 bit. 5) I must agree that it is one of the prettiest maps I have played. Grade: C- » Submitted by )(ypersonic on 11/28/01Played it on 5 Assed Monkey twice, one cap over an hour of play. I capped. Only because I went in fast before the defense could find their flag and got out.I think possibly three touches, both teams, an hour of play. Horrible map, a maze, with the flag 200 meters underground, easy as hell to defend once the defense finds their flag. FPS killer(could care less though, that's not what makes this map bad). The terrian ownz, only real postive aspect of this map. |

I completed a Megalithic variant named "neo-Megalithic" that's well worth a look. There's more access to the enemy flag, entrances are waypointed, enemy forcefields are red, and more. Have fun!! :)
