I dunno about the objective being the most powerful thing in the universe, but you do need to control it in order to capture the flag. It also gives the controlling team 2 invs and a large sensor. It will get hot and heavy around that objective quick.

Just a tip: Always turn up your graphics details, especially terrain, before taking screenshots. :)
