Just to start things off, Iknow that the name of my .vl2 file is the same as another map's on this site. I've just noticed this and in order for me to change the name of the file, i would have to build new spawn graphs, bot graphs, etc etc etc... We all know how much of a pain in the butt that is, so I really don't feel like changing it right now, sorry! Anyways... I've taken a break from heavy map making and have designed a much simpler map than my others. Each base has one main buiding and one vehicle pad. One large pulse sensor and two mortar turrets guard the front of the base. The rear entrances are left wide open. One sentry turret guards the flag. All entrances to each base are open except for the one closest to the flag. One generator powers each base. If that generator goes down, not only will you lose your power(Duh!), but the flag entrance is open, making much easier for the enemy to score. Hope you enjoy as much fun playing this map as much as i had making it(I shouldn't say that considering all my terrain problems,). Anyways, hope you enjoy!!! |

Grade: None » Submitted by Nefilim on 09/08/01This should go in the forum, but when you rename it, you should open your .mis file in notepad and do a search for your map name, their is a place in the .mis file that tells it where to look for your spawn and nav graphs, and the terrain file... you need to change it there to. |

changing mission name: 1) When you go into the .mis file, there should be a prompt called "DisplayName =". This is the prompt that allows you to change the mission name at will. 2)If the .mis file does not have this prompt, just add it. It should go Above the "MissionTypes =" prompt. 3)Once you have added or changed the mission name, rename the .mis file the same name as the one inside the .mis file. 4)As for spawnspheres, just rename the .spn file so it cor-responds with the mission name. 5)As for bots, your on your own. I don't know jack shit about bot support and a like. Hope my advice helps.
