A research station on the bottom of the ocean, equipped with an experimental Forcefield generator. This Local Defense Field, powered by a geo-thermal power source, is controlled by 4 Switches in the tower. These switches control which location receives active power. The active Forcefield's act as any other, but while one is active, the others revert to passive mode. These passive forcefields have enough strength to catch small objects like grenades or satchels, but people and weapon's fire go straight through. The objective is to destroy the Primary, Secondary, and Trinary generators to lower the regular Forcefields around the Switch Tower. Once inside, the Holdfast generator is all that keeps the switch defended. The experimental L.D.F system adds to the defendability of the generators, but does not make destroying them impossible. The L.D.F switches indicate, Primary, Secondary, Trinary, and Tower defenses. The Tower defense seals up two roof entrances into the switch tower, which may be a vital defense when all other fields are down. |

Grade: None » Submitted by Riatha on 08/27/01Just wanted to point out that "Trinary" isn't a word. What you're looking for is "tertiary". I know it's nitpicky, but it's nice to make the mission look professional, and that's the kind of thing that ends up impacting. Note I'm not complaining, just correcting. |

tri·na·ry adj. Consisting of three parts or proceeding by threes; ternary. The Trinary generator hut is divided into three rooms... ok, maybe its not the "proper" english term to use, but this is the 40th century in the "wilderzone" of human space.
