Map Details for Assault on Sky Run

The cold, iron framework of the great bridge creaks in the wind. Its bones are old, by at least 3 hundred years, but it also holds together with an old sort of stubborness.

The mission to turn Sky Run into a planetary defense system has gone the way of hard knocks thus far. In the first month, unexpected winds blew the giant rig off course and it brushed up against a nearby mountain, killing 3 workers, and wounding several others.

A few short months later, eletrical storms began pelting the lands relentlessly, seemingly a seasonal hazard here. After many more deaths, it was deemed best to postpone the construction until after Autuno.

Once the weather began to clear on a consistent basis, the next stage of the mission was rushed. Military Outposts had been assembled on the ends of the Run and the pieces of the great mechanism began arriving slowly from the nearby homeworld and were fastened in the appropiate manner along the frame.

Then, after only a few good months, another electrical flurry swept through the region.

The lesson was learned from the first storm, however, and we took shelter early. Months passed, waiting on the storm. Halfway through the stint, we lost all communication with the far base. I feared the worse.

When the storms passed and it was deemed safe again, we urgently headed out to investigate the other base. Much to our dismay, we found that the skeleton crew left there had been slain and the base had been compromised.

The enemy has already weakened our forces, but we must make a stand now or chance losing the entire rig. With this much of the massive device intact, the enemy could easily turn it against our people.

Charge the enemy, soldier, and die with honor!

This is one of my all time favorite maps, the bases are great, i love the pyramid style and inside construction, the vehicle station is a must for any map and well placed, and i'm glad you left the jerico in , even though its extremely hard to get one set up below... intact. the bots work well on this map , but they tend to take the low road and dont seem to have a firm grasp on how far down the ground is, however they still make it into the base , capture flags, ect... the mid station is a must to capture, not only does it often fry a flag capper , but a refuel right there really helps when you're fireing rockets and such at enemy turrets. this map gets my personal stamp of approval, and a grade of A.

Excellent map! Bases were a bit too far apart for my taste, but the map really makes you rethink what armor to bring as Jugs are extremely difficult to get into the base.
