Map Details for Polar Dip

Due to the unfortunate use of nuclear weapons in an attempt to clear this planet, a shift in the poles has occured. The rising water is just one of the things you have to contend with, enemy forces are another.

** Scripted to allow the water to rise over the course of the mission, just place the .vl2 in your base folder.

It's a cool map. I've only played it once on a renegades server, but I liked it enough to suggest adding it to both my clan's servers (IRON Brigade).

I haven't actually played this map, but my friends has. The reason I'm giving it a none is because once again my friend told me it was great. He said the water is awesome because it is easy to go through and when you come out you rocket. Also he likes how the water level raises and he could tell, unlike some people that it was moving fairly fast. One last thing, the red looks good against the blue backround and the terrain is really tight!!!! Thanks for the map!

just a quick comment on the water rising. it rises 15 meters over 30 minutes, if you extend time, it rises another 15. Its just a way of making the map a little different, thought it'd be fun. And i changed the viscosity of the water a bit, thats why you jet through it so fast.

This map is very good looking. But I prefer green over red forcefields. :) As for the water rising, it's so slow it doesn't really matter if it's there or not. And it seems like you did change a value for the water? I think I can move faster in the water than normal. I really liked how the bases is filled with water. Nice water texture by the way :) All around good map, Scuba.

Lots of eye candy, but those aweful red forcefields... I love the clear water and the percentage of terrain and water seems balanced. Nice touch for the very slow rising water, I spent about 15 minutes and was going to say I didn't see any change, but then noticed the place I spawned initially was underwater. Those missile turrets make it a bit tough to get through in the air or on land, so you must dive in the water. It is interesting to fly through the valleys that are underwater. The forcefield generator is in a position will keep it down for most of the mission (haven't played against people, just theorizing by it's fairly open location).
