A new new nice idea: Storm flag located in Inferno base and Inferno flag located in Storm base. Flags are in a bunker protected by forcefields. Storm must first destroy the forcefield generator located in Inferno base to gain access to the Inferno flag, which is in a bunker near Storm base, and bring that flag to Storm flag which is in bunker near the Inferno base. Little confusing. :) |

Grade: None » Submitted by Binabik on 03/11/02Hehe, nuts, I've had this idea brewing for a while, but then someone told me it's been done :). I might still try my rendition though :) Grade: None » Submitted by NecroBones on 03/05/02I haven't looked at the map yet, so I'm not giving a grade... Anyway, doing interesting things with flag placement can lead to some very creative and fun maps. Just because the average intelligence on the pub servers sometimes runs low enough to be confused by the slightest change doesn't mean you have to stifle your own creativity. Take my map Disco Inferno for example (sample map from my mod). Both team's flags are inaccessible to the other team. All capping is done via grabbing a 3rd neutral flag and bringing it home. Yes, a lot of people get confused, but the burden is on them to discover your map's value. |

I give it an A based solely on idea. There are a few aspects that of course could use some improvement, such as... fog, there's very little of it, and FPS can at times get VERY low. The FF's could stand to be a bit thicker because of the bug that enables folks to toss flags, and shoot mortars through the FF's. I really like it, and for that reason it will always be on Houston Vehicles.
