Map Details for Black Hole

Black Hole takes place inside a large enclosed arena which gives the map a Tribes 1 feel to it. In the center of the map is a tunnel that falls into the black hole. Each team has 1 main base made up of 2 bases combined. It is server-side, and only the server admins need to download.

I got out, and waxed the gens. (all it took was a deployable camera, en energy pack, and tricon beacon boosters. :) overall a fun map. needed a few more invos. or at least move them to a higher rung in the base. Its a fast paced map, heving to burn jets to get up makes for a pain if fending off attackers.

by "gives it a Tribes 1 feel" he means "this is a Tribes 2 version of a layout familiar to Tribes 1 players." basically a remake. I didn't run a T1 server and I don't remember the map name, but I remember some very bloody shifter battles taking place on it. An instant-kill zone of some kind at the bottom of the "black hole" would have been nice, but I'm one of those whiners who doesn't like hitting ctrl-K and waiting five seconds. I'm not rating this map since I've only loaded it up and run around it once or twice. :) I'll come back when I've had a couple dozen people on it. ;) I did notice in my brief survey that there were no blatant problems with this map. Aside from the bottomless drop, but that's intentional...
