The action takes place, beside a run down, derelict, offshore oil rig. The Oil Rigs facilities need repairing, but once fully functional,possession of the oilrig will ultimately decide the fate of the battle. Teamwork will be the only way you'll be able to capture the flag because without it, you'll be stranded on the enemy Island alone,and WON'T make it back to base.

Imagine that. That boosts the objective to a more useful asset and pumps the grade up as well.

it actually does have 2 missile turrets on the left and right hand sides of the objective (on the same level as the sensors, behind the actual pillars facing outonto the water.) which is why its so hard to cap the flag without controlling the objective, because unless your packing a whole lotta flares, you aint gonna get past it. (that was what i told myself anyway :)

This map used a unique method with its capturable objective. As stated in the description, you need to repair it before it serves its purpose as a forward attack post. Therefore, it makes sense that either side would commit their early attacks to this structure to either slow the repairs or capture it from the other team. The objective's lack of turrets still gives it the impression of not being that important. It does have 2 medium sensors however.
