I was looking around the forums in T2, reading comments from all these dudes wanting T1 remakes. One of the maps people wanted remade was DangerousCrossing. Since I kinda liked the map as well, I decided to remake it. This map was made to capture as much of the "feel" of the original as possible. From the long bridge, to being able to hop through one door, grab the flag and jump out another door. I'll also be remaking DangerousCrossing2 which isn't much different (a few extra turrets, extra inven. station, some towers). If I knew how to import a .png image I might've taken a picture of the orignal's cc and imported it..but...eh. |

Grade: C » Submitted by BabyRabbit on 06/03/01I loved DC from Tribes but there are some issues which need to be resolved in this version. If you go to the enemy's base and hover with the tower radar between you and the plasma turret, the turret will take out the tower radar (move either the turrets or the radar so it isn't possible to have the radar in the line of fire from a friendly turret). The land behind the Storm base is completely goofed (I'm not talking about replicating the original layout, it's just badly laid out). I know it's impossible to recreate the exact lay of the land from the first map, but this just doesn't feel like DC to me at all. With a few revisions this map could be very close to the original. It's a good first attempt. |

Excelent for a Server Side map of a classic, However it does have some pretty bad flaws as mentioned in the previous comment. Nice work nonetheless.
