Map Details for Eulogy

Teams battle it out under the desert sun, swarming from their large, underground bases. They are drawn, like moths to a flame, to the central tower objective. The team that controls the objective controls it's firepower, and a little something extra.

I happen to be listening to Eulogy at the moment. Great map! Oddly enough, I too made a map with a tool song name (Schism).

Yes the bases can be confusing if you've never played the DM map that uses them. I think simple bunkers with invs would've been sufficient. The underground exit thing is nothing new if you ever fell off the map in t1. However, it can be used as an advantage by someone who knows what they're doing.

This map has a lot of neat ideas that I'm sure will be implemented. THe whole coming out of the sand, as others have mentioned, is just plain freaky, but only in the best way, of course. ;) I think the complex base layout is what hurt this the most. I mean, it was intricately slaved over, I'm sure, and it shows, but it's too much of a labrynth to be fully effective in terms of a quick game. Not that this is a bad thing, it's still completely playable, and I highly recommend this map. I just don't have a very good sense of direction, and I get lost in some of these bases. ;)

Gotta love any map named for a TOOL song! Oh yeah, and it plays pretty good too. ;-)

fan-freaking-tastic. download it now and start enjoying. there's a good mix of gameplay styles. there's an objective for the C&H lovers, there's lots of shrike-fu and tank-fu for the spazzy newbie vehicle snobs, plus each structure has a HUGE underground component. you WILL get lost on this map the first time you play it. and when you find the sand exit on the ramp above the flag room and use it on your first cap, you will get very giggly. that's a VERY novel feature. this one is definitely staying in rotation!

Heh the coming out of the sand(ground) thing has a weird Dune feal to it.

Very nice map. It has great graphics, very balanced, and is great for working on teamwork in clans.

Brilliant expansion of T2 experience. Steep learning curve for flag base. Great new textures (feels like part UT, part Q3, part T2). Nice complexity, with siege like defenses.

it's not an entrance, its an exit. It is also controlled by the objective, making the objective more important to a teams' strategy.

Great map. I'm a little concerned with the entrance under the terrain, however.

A lot of work put into this one. Sure to be a classic in the months to come. And its named after a good band's song. :)
