Map Details for Dam Break |
||
A two part base situated on an island in the middle of an artificial lake. There are three generators in the lower tower powering the forcefields of the upper base, which, in turn, hosts a single generator used for the powerfield sealing the flipflop room. The base is defended by an array of base turrets loaded with Missiles. The attackers are situated past the dam and have two mobile bases and a vehicle pad. All vehicle types are available (and can be usefull btw) |

Grade: B » Submitted by Mimic on 06/07/01I liked it, it looked good, and had a good idea. the only thing i think was not good was how after a few meters you could see a cliff that was pointless and that could have ben avoided because it looks bad, other then that it's a great map Grade: C- » Submitted by wow! ion.cannon on 06/01/01Be honest... how much time did you really spend on this map? The terrain isn't even unique for more than like 1000 meters... and then at the end of every 1000 meters it just drops flat off like the map was just sliced on the side. If anyone wants to see what I am talking about, just hop in a shrike and fly for a few seconds and have yourself a good laugh. As for the actual setup of the map... if you are going to have a tower that the offense has to destroy gens in, I would recommend putting it further from the defense base kind of like the way the NE gens are on Ultima Thule. If the tower is going to be that close to the enemy base, why not just put the gens in the enemy base somewhere? Also I wouldn't put 3 gens in one 3 level tower. It is just simply too difficult against a team with any skill to kill all 3 of those gens the way they are layed out and then have another squad get to the gen inside the base and still get to the opposite side to hit the switch. Maybe if the main base were bigger and allowed for some form of hiding near the switch it would be different, but you are forcing everyone to attack the building at once and that particular building is just way to easy to litter with spider clamps. Sorry bud, maybe next time. |

can see too far, looks nice but way too laggy, and very odd terrain if you go away from the main area. the water and dam-watterfall thing looked neat though.
