Map Details for WarPigs

WarPigs is my tribute to OZZY and Black Sabbath. This map has 2 solar panels powering 4 FF's around the main base generators. Once those 2 main generators are destroyed, you'll be able to get past the indoor turrets. (Hint1-Though, if still powered and have jammer pack you might be ok.) Once inside base, pick the lucky chute to find the flag FF generator. (Hint2-it will be powered even though main gens are destroyed) Then you can get the flag and return to your base for the cap. Enjoy! Sorry no Screenshots, when I tried the came out way too dark. Got lucky on the load up shot, though.

An interesting map. I really liked how the bases were put together and everything, but (like the guy below said) there's too much defense- nothing short of a large and organized assault force has much of a chance of making a successful cap, as far as I could tell. Also, while the map was fun, I didn't think there was anything very revolutionary about the gameplay (though the forcefields were a nice touch). It's a good map, just not a GREAT one. However, an updated version (with less defense, especially) would definitely improve the map greatly.

Great concepts. This is a template of design, that mappers should grasp. Yes, combining the "siege" elements of T2 with the fragile tactical challenges of a large lava map, I consider this one of the best thus far. Main issue is the reliance on JAMMERS that attackers MUST have. I.e., too many sentry turrets, potentially. All considered, I can only hope for maps like this unfold.

As a Mapper, and as a player. Very nice design and Layout. Places the emphasis on Teamwork. Nice Work, and maps with this kind of gameplay are needed more than anything else.

I love it!! It is chalenging with the many tasks to get the force feilds down. Maybe on the next version take out some of the century turrets, other then that it rocks!

The map construction was interesting. The terrain was very hostile and made vehicle use or bridge control a must. The reason for the grade is the huge amount of defenses each base has. That kind of firepower on a base may be constant with a siege map, but not for a ctf one.

Once again OnaDeathwish boldly charts new courses for Tribes mapmaking. WarPigs, with its "lady or the tiger" base design and treacherously narrow bridge precariously perched above a heaping helping of fresh-n'-bubbly lava, is sure to cause yet another paradigm shift. It's minimalist design, promoting action packed attacks and the necessary cooridinatior the sequential generator takedowns, is more of what we have all come to expect from the Michaelangelo of Midwest Mapping!

Another brilliant map from the creator of Skod, I reccommend a look at this one, the multiple objectives require teamwork to destroy. And the flag is in a nice place to defend, but easy to mortar out if it gets too well defended.
