Ground vehicle based mission. No Thunderswords or Shrikes. Rolling hills make vehicle travel easy yet skiing near impossible. Forests can prove to be great tactical assets. Very large map with bases about 2000 meters apart. Includes a hack of the vehicle.cs file to increase the yield of ground vehicles and Havocs.

Great map, but it is a little too easy. Normally, I just ride a terragrav up there and grab the flag. I normally play Meltdown X, so I can use several air vehicles (Meltdown X adds tons) and that makes even easyer. To tell you the truth this map could really use some work. I recommend making a tougher version of it (Where the flag actually has some defense!). No offense. The map is great, it's just the difficulty could be altered a little.

This is in my top Ten maps Most fun map to play, it may not be the most strategic but it looks like an actual battlefield unlike most maps. the reason not an A is because of the little attention to detail. All of the same kind of tree lined up in rows is kinda creepy. I had no spawnsphere problems. This level is great with many player riding around in tanks and gravcycles. it is fun to observe from way up above the field and watch the epic battle unfold below.

Well, personnally, I must say, I didn't Like the map. The layout seemed a tad querky and would, to me, make gameplay a tad tedious. I had none of the spawnsphere problems the others seemed to have, but all in all, I cannot give this map more than a D ..

This is a good map for making vehicles a necessity but I must agree that it's rather bland. Possibly some rivers or broken walls to liven things up would be nice. The spawn shperes were screwey for me too and I would get some "access denied, wrong team" messages on the Inferno side invs. though they would still work. This will be a good map once the small bugs are worked out.

I agree with some of your comments except the spawnspheres work perfectly for me. If anyone else has a problem with them, let me know and I'll go back and redraw the graphs again. As far as the turrets go, you have to mount the barrels manually (part of the mission briefing on the load screen) before they will shoot at anything. Like a mortar barrel on the flagstand turret for instance... I definitely could have placed different trees and some other organics (hindsight is always 20/20). But overall I wanted to create a mission with an emphasis on the necessity of ground-vehicle support (Armored Infantry, if you will). We all know how hard it is sometimes to keep your Wildcat on the roads in Slapdash. or to get up the hill to the generator in Dessicator if you fall off of the road... I wanted to make it easier for all ground vehicles to get around and hammer-in the point that proper equipment deployment is vital to the team's success. Just as teamwork itself is vital; so is equipment. Thx, sgt_chucky{fux}

Hmmmm, this map coulda been good, but it's got a few problems. First of all you shoulda got the spawn spheres working, because popping at 0,0 500 meters above the ground every time you die is a real drag, especially since the very hills that prevent skiing also make it take forever to get back to your base. The map is pretty bland, with flat, sometimes rolling terrain, and the occasional patch of VERY unnatural looking trees. They're in rows, and all look exactly the same! Luckily they didn't create as much slowdown as I had feared they might when I first downloaded the map. Also, as Storm I walked right up to the enemy turret and danced around in front of it (the one by the vehicle station) and it didn't shoot at me once. You should go back and finish this map, and touch it up a bit. A rock here, and trees scattered out a bit more might really make this look a lot nicer than it does right now.
