Map Details for Air Support

This is a mostly-aerial map. The bases float high above the ground and are difficult to reach from below even as a light. As the name suggests, the best tactics are airborne. Havocs and Bombers that are escorted by shrikes will win the day! The bases are far apart, making travel on foot impractical. This map has been -very- well received in testing, even being called "one of the best maps". I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

An annoyingly areial map. It is almost impossible to get into the opposite base unscathed by enemy fire. This I like, as a D person, but on those occasions when I go O, it's VERY annoying. The water underneath the base is just insult to injury. I'll still play it though if the teams are decently sized. In fact I've found it on the server OOO New Maps OOO Decent server.

Ok, as far as air oriented maps go. A well-done map for a change of pace from the usual fray, but nothing I'd write home about.

maps with client-side downloads haven't been too popular, since it requires people to, y'know, stop playing. while you're waiting for that to get fixed, try this one. three vehicle stations and two outdoor invs (which will get pummeled by bomber fire, believe me), and the flag stand is at the upper base entrance. you'd think that would mean a lot of easy caps, but in practice it doesn't seem to. i've had this map in rotation on my server for a while and it has been quite well-received. the only complaint has been about the complexity of the floating base layout. but it's the same base as in Caldera, so if you know that base, you know this one. i agree that we need simpler floating bases though, so that's why the grade's an A-. loads of fun, a miniscule download... definitely worth checking out.

This has the potential to be a truely awesome map. The bases are very far apart, there are 3 vehicle pads (no waiting) and best of all, there is a little inv. station on the ground for that poor heavy that falls and needs to get back up. The main problems are some bad spawn points, (First spawn of the game I fell through the base platform) complete and total lack of turrets of any kind, and the base is pretty bare on the inside. Theres a few inv stations, but there should be at least a few more. Especially in the main chamber. The flag should prolly be moved down a little deeper into the base as well. Fix a few of these problems and this map will totally rock.
