Upon loading it the first thing you notice is the awesome purple fog effect. It hurts the eyes for a while, but after your burn out your retnum a bit it's all good. :) Skiing is a bit too easy on this map, and it IS pretty big, making me wonder why air vehicles were left out (heavies would have a hell of a time trying to climb those hills....they can't ski so good). The bases themselves were a bit small for the map, and the terrain a bit unrealistic - just rolling large hills with no trees, or rocks, or interesting features or anything besides the fog. With a bit of cleaning up it could be a lot better, but that doesn't mean it's bad now. Grade: C+ » Submitted by Mathias on 05/04/01An intersting map, but not one i'm going to play online at all. First off, Jimi is mispelled when the map loads. The bases are really close, (not a problem really...) making the capturable objective completely unneeded. When you ski down to the lower elevations you get this weird flash light effect at the horizon. With the sheer amount of easy flag caps possible due to skiing, there should be at least one more base turret for flag defense. Remove the mid base and you'd have a decent close combat map.
